Services
Albemarle Home Care offers a number of services to help people of all ages
remain independent, safe and comfortable in the best of all places, at home.
- Nursing
Services
The registered nurse provides supervision for patient services, makes
assessments and performs treatments, keeping in touch with the patient,
family and physician.
- Infusion
Therapy
In-home IV therapy provided by a skilled nurse for short or long-term
management of pain medication, antibiotics, hydration or other drug
therapies.
- Maternal-Child
Services
A Registered Nurse oversees
the care of the mother-to-be, the new mother and newborn baby.
- Nurse Aide
Services
A certified nurse aide provides assistance with personal hygiene and
activities of daily living.
- Medical Social
Services
Social workers help patients and families with social and emotional
needs, which may interfere with the patient's medical care or recovery.
Nutritional Therapy
Assistance by a registered dietitian to manage nutritional needs,
including therapeutic diets and tube feedings.
- Physical
Therapy
In-home services to improve physical mobility and function, provided
by licensed physical therapists and physical therapy assistants.
- Occupational
Therapy
Licensed occupational therapists provide goal-oriented activity to
patients whose functions are impaired by illness or injury, congenital or
developmental disability, or the aging process.
- Speech Therapy
In-home diagnostic and therapeutic services assist the patient to
communicate more clearly.
- CAP Case
Management
AHC serves as the lead agency for the Community Alternatives Program for
Disabled Adults (CAP-DA) for Pasquotank, Perquimans, Camden,
and Currituck
Counties. This
Program is designed to enable disable adults to remain in their homes, and
out of nursing homes, for as long as is possible
