Information about
Albemarle Home Care

Albemarle Home Care, a nonprofit agency affiliated with the Albemarle Regional Health Services, provides a wide range of community-based services to clients of all ages. We have provided services since 1968. As a Medicare certified home health agency, we serve Pasquotank, Perquimans, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, and Gates.

Home and community-based health services are directed toward developing and enhancing client health capacities. In addition to processing a holistic and humanistic philosophy, we view the client as part of the family and community. Our focus is on the client and family as a unit.

Who Pays For Care at Home and In The Community?

The services provided to clients by Albemarle Home Care are reimbursed by a variety of payor sources, which may include:

·         Medicare

·         Medicaid

·         Workman's Compensation

·         Veterans Administration

·         Commercial Insurance

·         Private Pay (all programs are available on a private-pay basis)

Physician's Role In Home Care

The physician is an important member of the home care team. Indeed, the recipient of home care services must be under a physician's plan of care. While other health professionals may provide consultation in the development of the plan of care, the physician is ultimately responsible for approving a specific plan for each client.
